Bios
Theo Fanning, Creative Director at Traction (www.tractionco.com)
As Theo tells it, as a child he was abducted by a band of circus freaks that conducted mind-control experiments on him for their perverse amusement. Eventually he befriended his captors and inevitably become their leader whom they bestowed upon their arcane knowledge and secrets. Regardless of this tale’s verity, he has managed to collect a pile of awards from the work he has produced at Think New Ideas, Tribal DDB, Grey Advertising and Butler, Shine and Stern (and, of course, Traction). Big brands who have benefited from his work include Apple, Bank of America, Bonny Doon Vineyards, Macromedia, Sun and Clorox.
Less is more. Theo will discuss how Traction’s creative team uses Flash in small ways to make big impacts for brands that help his clients achieve real-world marketing objectives.
Tony Shumskas, Flash developer at Agency.com (www.agency.com)
Tony has been working in Flash for over 8 years. He started out in print as a graphic designer and later moved to doing interactive work in the late 90s after moving to Japan to study animation and ended up working for Sony Design, which is Sony’s R&D arm. He returned to the US in late 2001 and began working more intensely with Flash and honing his skills. Currently he works at Agency.com as a Flash Developer. He’s done both design and or development for the following clients/brands: Apple, AT&T, BMW, bebe sport, Clorox, Michelin, Nokia, Nike, Sandisk, & Warner Bros.
Tony will be sharing some of the great projects he’s developed for during his time with Agency.com
